Description
Deutsch: In beiden Weltkriegen wurden Glocken u.a. aus der Martinskirche zur Deckung des Bedarfs an kriegswichtigen Metallen beschlagnahmt und eingeschmolzen. Das erst 1925 unter großen Mühen neu angeschaffte Geläut musste bereits 1942 nach einem Abschiedsläuten wieder aus der Glockenstube herabgelassen werden. Unser Foto zeigt den letzten Glockenschlag am 8. Juni 1942. 1953 wurden zur Ergänzung der historischen Martinusglocke von 1456, die zum Glück erhalten blieb, vier neue Glocken angeschafft und in feierlicher Prozession vom Burgplatz zur Kirche gebracht.
