English: Italy, South Tyrol, Stilfes, Pfarrkirche Hl. Apostel Petrus. The first church in Stifes was mentioned in 827. The present imposing church has a single nave and two lateral altars beside the high altar. The interior is decorated in Baroque and the ceiling frescos were painted by Christoph Brandstätter. The choir is placed over the front entrance and the slim bell tower was built in 1568. Here is the left side lateral altar. |
