Description This building was constructed in 1862, during the American Civil War, to serve as the boys' school for the St. Paul's Church parish in Cincinnati's Pendleton Neighborhood. The building features tall windows, ornate detailing, tall chimney stacks, and heavily detailed brickwork, falling somewhere between the later Victorian styles and the earlier Classical Revival styles in its appearance, likely due to a later expansion of the building. It was expanded in 1887 due to increased needs for facilities and a increasing population, which led to the structure we see today taking shape. This building was bought in 1981 by the Verdin Clock Company, whom use it as offices as part of their corporate headquarters complex in the neighborhood. It is currently undergoing some sort of facade treatment, likely periodic maintenance such as painting, sealing, and inspection.
