English: St. John's is the oldest church still standing on Detroit's main street - Woodward Avenue, an area once called Piety Hill for its large number of religious buildings. This information is from the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) thematic nomination for the Religious Structures of Woodward Avenue. Located at 2326 Woodward Avenue, built between 1859-1861. The architects were Albert Jordan and James Anderson. It is also a Michigan State Historic Site.
