Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Saint-Moré, Yonne, Burgundy, France. These cliffs are on the south side of the "côte de Char", a corallian limestone formation that was hollowed by the river Cure to form the caves of Saint-Moré. Some 800 m away from its western end, two tunnels were dug following a north/south direction through the côte de Char: the one seen here is for trains, the other for the D606 road further east. Hidden by the trees, the two tunnels enter the cliffs near the left edge of the photo, immediately after the bridges. The cliffs seen here are on the east of the tunnels. This photo was taken looking east/north-east from the "sentier des grottes d'Arcy et de Saint-Moré" (discovery footpath of the caves of Arcy-sur-Cure and of Saint-Moré), near the railway bridge.
