Français : Dans un médaillon rond situé au haut de la stèle, une tête masculine de profil tournée vers la gauche représente monseigneur Louis-Jacques Casault (Montmagny, 1808-07-17 - Québec, 1862-05-05), premier recteur de l'Université Laval (1852 1860). La base de la stèle contient les messages de monseigneur Ferdinand Vandry, recteur, et de l'honorable juge Gérard Lacroix, président général des Anciens de Laval, qui seront dévoilés à la communauté universitaire en 2052 dans le cadre du bicentenaire de l'Université Laval.
