A fine white anemone of extra large size, broad, deep, heavy guard petals, with high built center, center on crowns, with age, at times shading pink ; one of the best of this class; d)4 feet. .1. H. Woodford. (Sfaulding.) A beautiful large shell pink, shaded to center, high globular bloom, with heavy, broad, closely incurving petals ; strong stem and fine foliage. Extra early , can be cut Oct. .">th to 10th. Crowns or terminals on former color are pure white ; 4 feet. Kentucky. (Nam c&" Neuner.) Extra large, grace- ful flower of globular shape. Color a pure even shrimp pink. Petals long, narrow, standing out straight, much like the old favorite. Lilian B. Bird. Stem stout and foliage heavy and nearly up to the flower. Healthy, easy grower. Fine for exhibition. Midseason. 35 cts. each ; $3.50 per dozen ; $25 per 100. Lawn Tennis. (Condon.) Japanese Reflexed, color of deep mauve, which is very attractive ; build of blooms most perfect ; of Japanese Reflexed type ; petalage un- surpassed by any variety ; stems stiffest possible ; fo- liage large and right up to flower. Will be valuable as commercial and exhibi- tion variety. Midseason ; height 3 to 4 feet. Lorelei. (Bock. ) A solid incurved of medium size, with strong stem and fo- liage ; color white, with the lower petals lilac pink; growth 3)^ feet. Take crown buds only. In fine shape from Nov. 10th to end of month. It is a very distinct variety in form and finish. Leonidas. (May.) Ama- rath, shaded maroon ; very large, with straight, flat pe- tals, forming a bold impos- ing reflexed flower with good stem and foliage. As an exhibition flower this will prove a very distinct and valuable variety ; best on terminal buds, but larg- er on crown ; season, end of October to 20th Novem- ber ; height 3 feet. Price, 35 cents each ; $3.50 per dozen ; $25 00 per 100. LornaOoone. (Cont/on ) This variety is of mammoth size, purest snow white, very broad, heavy, deep flower, measuring 12 to 14 inches in diameter, with age, outer petals curl and in- terlace ; habit extra dwarf, hardly attaining 2% feet. Foliage and stem perfection. Crown or terminal buds. M.M.Wallace. (S$aulding.) A fine large violet or lilac pink flower of great substance ; petals broad and stand erect ; very durable and high built form ; stem strong with foliage up to the bloom ; extra dwarf ; 2l/2 feet. Crown bud. Mrs. R. D. Douglas* (Spaulding.) Very large in- curved bloom, measuring 12 inches across ; bright yel- low when first opening, with age older petals occasion- ally show a pleasing bronze. Petals identical in form and texture with Bonnaffon. Although the blooms are of immense size, they are carried erect on stems furnished with foliage right up to the flower. A valuable early acquisition. Crown or terminal buds ; 4 feet. Mrs. J. Withers. (Sgazdding.) An exquisite true Japanese bloom ; clear, distinct yellow petalage of great substance ; very abundant and evenly distributed ; in- curving slightly to center. Terminal buds ; 3 feet. Maud Adams. (S^aulding.) Grand incurved Japan- ese ; magnificent yellow ; petals cup and interlace, form- ing a globular ball of great substance and largest size ;
