Summary
[edit]DescriptionSplit mu steering compensation step2.svg |
English: Above view of a right front wheel of a car with negative scrub radius. Assumed, this wheel is the only front wheel breaking like in an split µ (mu) braking or failure in one of the brake circuits, the tendency of the car to turn right is compensated by the geometry of the negative scrub radius. Initially, the middle contact point between street and tire (O in the figure) lies diagonal behind the kingpin axis - street intersection point (X in the figure) (File:Split_mu_steering_compensation_step1.svg). During braking with one wheel, they align.
Deutsch: Rechtes Vorderrad eines Fahrzeugs mit negativem Lenkrollradius.
