Summary

[edit]
Description

The Split Rock Recreation Site, located along the Loomis-Oroville Road in northern Okanogan County, provides year-round access to activities on Palmer Lake including fishing, boating, and swimming.

Located at an elevation of 1,150 feet above sea level, the site is named for the prominent split rock that has long served as a landmark on the lake’s south side.

Onsite, visitors will find newly-remodeled amenities, including restrooms, covered picnic tables, a beach, and the lake’s only paved public boat ramp.

Directions: From Highway 97 at Tonasket, Washington, take the Loomis-Oroville Road west through Loomis. Approximately 4 miles west of Loomis, turn left into BLM's Split Rock Recreation Site.
