J.-C. terre cuite Tombe princière du royaume de Chu Tuolanshan Xuzhou, province du Jiangsu Fouilles 1989, musée de Xuzhou Objets présentés dans l'exposition : "Splendeurs des Han, essor de l'empire Céleste" au musée national des arts asiatiques - Guimet jusqu'au 1er mars 2015 www.guimet.fr/fr/expositions/expositions-a-venir/splendeu... Les tombes de Yangjiawan sont situées dans l'aire des mausolées impériaux Han. Elles abritent les dépouilles de Zhou Bo et de son fils Zhou Yafu, tous deux généraux et ministres sous Wendi (r. 180-157 av. J.-C.) et Jingdi (r. 157-141 av. J.-C.). Les fosses d'accompagnement des sépultures contenaient, entre autres, 1800 figures de fantassins et 583 cavaliers.
En Chine, la dynastie Han s'étend de -206 av. J.-C. à 220 ap. J.-C, ce qui correspond pour l'Occident à l'apogée de l'Empire romain. La dynastie Han a accompli l'unification du territoire chinois durant cette période et sous son règne, les arts et techniques ont connu un développement important dont témoignent les objets de cette exposition. Ainsi le papier a été inventé sous la dynastie des Han de l'Ouest. Prêtés au musée Guimet par de nombreux musées chinois, les objets archéologiques exposés : sculptures, terres cuites, textiles, céramiques, bronzes, manuscrits, objets en jade, laques... sont d'une qualité exceptionnelle. Ils n'ont guère été présentés auparavant en France et donnent un caractère unique à cette manifestation qui s'inscrit dans la célébration des 50 ans d'amitié franco-chinoise. |
