Summary
[edit]DescriptionSpital Yard - geograph.org.uk - 1589267.jpg |
English: Spital Yard One of the delights of wandering around central London is finding unexpected delights such as this 17th century house tucked away down a short cobbled street yards from Bishopsgate - overshadowed by the concrete and plate glass towers that sprung up here on the northern edge of the City. It is reputedly the birthplace of Susanna Annesley, mother of John Wesley, one of 25 children of a local vicar. |
