Description

Just recording fuel prices following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This is at the Speedway on 34th Ave S at E 51st St in Minneapolis, which shows unleaded gasoline at $3.999/gal, with diesel at $4.999/gal.

I looked through my notes, and I had previously once paid $4.959/gal for diesel for my VW Jetta TDI on May 26th, 2008, which works out to $6.495/gal today, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Consumer Price Index inflation calculator. So, this is the highest nominal value I've seen, but still well below the highest I've paid in real dollars.

I also saw E85 ethanol for $2.999/gal at a station a few miles away yesterday (which also had gasoline for $3.999/gal).
