A broad, conical tree stands prominently in a grassy area beside a wooden fence.

Bluffs Lodge - Doughton Park. This specimen tree stands between Bluffs Lodge and Wildcat Rocks Overlook. The site was chosen for the lodge in large part for its exceptional vegetation and open, rolling landscape, and the character that existed in the 1930s and 1940s still exists. Mature trees may be the original trees or descendants; in either case, they perpetuate the feeling and setting of the area as it was documented in the 1930s and 1940s.
