Inside the Spännarhyttan blast furnace, a railway car for transport of liquid iron to the Surahammar ironworks, Sweden.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A railway car for transportation of liquid iron from the blast furnace of Spännarhyttan (1974 – 1981) near Norberg in Sweden, 50 km, to the iron works of Surahammar. One car loaded 60 ton liquid iron. There was a daily traffic of three trains with 2 – 3 cars, which in full operation transported yearly 150,000 tons.
