Overview of the South Tahoma Glacier terminus. Initiation point is on the left side of the terminus, just below and to the right of a bedrock exposure (You can find it by tracing the dark brown colored sediment-laden stream upwards to its source). You can also see bedrock "steps" - the current terminus is atop one of these steps and it is likely that there's debris covered stagnant ice between the two steps. NPS/Scott Beason Photo |
