Description
English: Officers and South African civilians, during World War I. Two civilians sit in the back of the car and two officers sit in the front. Another officer stands behind the car while two other civilians stand in front. The car is parked in front of large, grand windows.

Scenes like these were commonly used as propaganda. Civilians whose countries had British associations were often asked to provide invaluable war services.
