English: U.S. Soldiers prepare to complete the Army Combat Fitness Test Sprint-Drag-Carry event, part of a series of tests to earn the Expert Soldier Badge (ESB), Vilseck, Germany, Aug 19, 2022. The ESB is a U.S. Army special skills badge awarded to all Soldiers, noncommissioned officers, warrant officers, and commissioned officers–except those in the Infantry, Special Forces and Medical career management fields–that demonstrate individual Soldier competencies and abilities to perform tough, realistic and mission-focused skill level 1 Warrior Tasks and brigade commander-selected tasks.
