Harry Studebaker (left), a Birmingham, Ala., native, steps to the side as he removes the sergeant rank from Chris Jernander, a Crestview, Fla., native, during his promotion to staff sergeant at the Multi-National Division – Baghdad headquarters building on Camp Liberty, March 15. Jernander's family watched the ceremony from Hurlburt Field, Fla., via video teleconference. Jernander serves as an operator in the Multi-National Division – Baghdad's Route Observation Center. Both Jernander and Studebaker are members of the 2nd Battlefield Coordination Detachment, 81st Regional Readiness Command, out of Hurlburt Field, Fla., and are serving with the 4th Infantry Division and MND-B.
