English: The official pocket knife of the Swiss Army since 2008 (made by Victorinox). Soldatenmesser 08, Militärsackmesser - Victorinox Soldier Knife 08 Military Pocketknife as issued from 2008 to the Swiss Military. The Soldier Knife 08 features an 111 mm (4.4 in) long ergonomic handle with texturized non-slip inlays incorporated in the polymer grip shells and a double liner locking system, one-hand 86 mm (3.3 in) long partly serrated (wavy edge) locking chisel ground (optimized for right-handed use) drop point blade sharpened to a 24° angle, wood saw, can opener with small 3 mm screwdriver, locking bottle opener with large 7 mm screwdriver and wire stripper/bender, reamer sharpened to a 48° angle, Phillips (PH2) screwdriver and split key ring. The overall length opened is 197 mm (7.8 in) and it weighs 126 g (4.44 oz). |
