Summary

[edit]
Description

NPS/Patrick Myers The official low temperature on the valley floor this morning was 25 below zero! The coldest so far this winter was 36 below zero a few weeks ago. Though that sounds bitterly cold, the dry air and abundant sunshine here make it feel warmer than northern and eastern parts of the U.S., where cloudier and more humid conditions give the cold more of a bite.
