Description

The Snipe flies appear at this time each year.

What a nasty little fly. Any bare skin including ears, the palm of your hand and between your fingers to draw blood!! Their proboscis is very piercing and hurts!!

Fortunately they are not known to carry diseases. ~3mm Photo: Jean
