[Copyright] 1914 by Frank H. Nowell. Caption on verso: Visit the 42-story L.C. Smith Building - The highest and finest and most representative Office Building in the world outside of New York City. Its wonderful Obeservatory [sic] - Chinese Room with hand-carved teak finish and furnishings - replicas of tables from famous Chinese Temples - Bronze Lanterns and gorgeous Oriental Furnishings, are marvels as points of interest to every visitor. The massive fireproof structure weighs 32,650 tons - Rests upon 1276 concrete piles - Has eight high speed elevators - Interior trim is of steel - Beautiful Alaska Marble embellishes the corridors, excepting the Main Floor, which is of Mexican Onyx of surpassing beauty. At night the entire peak is lighted by 42 giant flood lights and surmounting all, 500 ft. above the street, is a great electrically lighted ball ten feet in diameter, serving as a beacon to all ships entering the harbor.
