Title
Smith Tower advertisement, ca. 1914
Description

Transcribed from postcard: "Please mail me to your out-of-town friend. Confidence is the backbone of business portrayed by the 42 story L.C. Smith Building which typifies Seattle spirit and growth. The highest, finest, and most complete office building in the world outside of New York City. Observation floor and balcony presents a view no one should miss of the city of Seattle - the snow-capped peaks of Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Olympic and Cascade Ranges - also picturesque Puget Sound. Tens of thousands of electric lights throughout the city and on the ships plying on the bay, makes a night scene from the observation floor and balcony a veritable fairy land. Every day in the year the observation floor and balcony are open from 9 A.M. to 10 P.M. Seattle is your success."
