Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Sludge boat, Belfast "Sludge" was the euphemistic name given to what was left after treatment in the sewage works. Before the EU stopped such things it was practice to dump the stuff at sea. Glasgow had the "Shieldhall" 944005 and Belfast had the "Divis II" - purpose built in 1979 and sold in 1999. Seen here in the Pollock Basin on her way to the dumping ground. See also 1612460.
