Summary
[edit]DescriptionSlingsby Castle Moat - geograph.org.uk - 1516829.jpg |
English: Slingsby Castle Moat The moat on the west side of the castle at Slingsby. Here and to the south is the best preserved example of the dry moat, evidence of the moat can be found all the way around the old castle, but it seems to be at it full depth on this side. Talking to the local farmer, he told me that it never fills with water, even after the heaviest of rain, and that it is believed to have a lead pipe to a nearby stream. |
