Summary
[edit]DescriptionSleepers in former Marsh Lane goods yard, Leeds (geograph 4667671).jpg |
English: Sleepers in former Marsh Lane goods yard, Leeds Marsh Lane was once an extensive goods yard on the site of a former passenger station, in later years (at least until the 1980s) it still had a couple of sidings used by Tilcon for aggregates, but as of 2015 was disused. The site is owned by Network Rail and will probably be sold for redevelopment. These concrete sleepers, adjacent to the public footpath to the western edge of the site, are virtually the only evidence of former railway usage. |
