English: Slade Cross - view NW towards Moretonhampstead This view from Slade Cross shows the Wreyland Valley on the very edge of Dartmoor winding its wooded way towards Moretonhampstead. Hidden in these hills to the right are where the old 'shiny ore' mines used to be worked providing the ore for water-resistant paints used on battle ships and bridges. |
