Description Photo of the Skytop observation/lounge cars that ran on the Hiawatha named trains of the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul Railroad. These cars went into service in 1948, and were painted in the Union Pacific color scheme in 1955. This photo shows two of the card in the original Milwaukee Road color scheme. The Skydome cars in the photo were part of the Morning Hiawatha and Afternoon Hiawatha trains.
Date Between 1948, when these cars were introduced into service, and 1955, when their paint color scheme was changed.
