Description
English: Stellaria nemorum in Norway. (Bortsett fra de store, breie bladene vi skimter i bakgrunnen, kan skogstjerneblom ofte kjennes også på blomsten:

1) de ti kronbladflikene deler sirkelen temmelig perfekt seg imellom, dvs. avstanden mellom de to som hører sammen og fliker fra nabokronbladene er ganske lik. Hos de fleste andre stjerneblomstarter er det enten slik at de to halvdelene av samme kronblad sitter tett sammen, parallelt, eller tvert om at de to som hører til nabokronblad sitter tett sammen.

2) hos skogstjerneblom er blomsten ofte antydningsvis traktformet - kronbladene har en bøy som gjør at blomsten innerst er traktformet, og så bretter kronbladene seg utover. Hos de andre artene er blomsten mye mer åpen, dvs. uten en slik bøy på kronbladene.)
