| Description |
English: Skipton 1st railway station (site), Yorkshire Opened in 1847 by the Leeds and Bradford Extension Railway on the line from Shipley to Colne, this station was closed to passengers in 1876. Services were transferred to the current station at that time, some 300m north west in the far distance and to the extreme left of this image. View north west. The station building was adjacent to the tracks on the extreme left of the supermarket building. In the foreground was a goods shed and yard. |
