August 1702, kjøpmann i Trondhjem. Gift 17. Januar 1688 med Margrethe Angell (1672 - 1763). Christian Frost var en av de aller største skipsrederne i Trondhjem på slutten av 1600-tallet. Blant de andre store skipsredere var Lorentz Angell, Henrik Hornemann og Lauritz Holst. Hans kone Margrethe var søster til Albert Lorentzen Angell og Thomas Angells tante. Margrethe og Christian Frost var blant de største partisipantene i Røros kobberverk; og begge var engasjert i kobberverkets styre. Christian Frost førte en stor og omfattende kjøpmannshandel, som ble videreført av Margrethe som enke. Hun ble sentral for partisipantskapet (dvs. aksjonærene; den overordnede ledelse) for Røros kobberverk i 1720-årene; møtene ble holdt i hennes hus i Trondhjem og hun holdt både protokoller og skrivemateriale.
