| Description |
Bahasa Indonesia: Umumnya selancar memang di laut dengan ombak yang dahsyat. Namun, di Tanah Pasuruan Jawa Timur berselencar tak perlu mencari ombak besar. Cukup dengan lumpur yang di lahan tambak milik desa. Tak hanya sekedar permainan belaka, Skilot merupakan tradisi di Pasuruan yang dilaksanakan setiap Lebaran Ketupat.
Skilot berasal dari dua kata yaitu, ski yang berarti berseluncur dan Lot yang berarti lumpur. Sesuai namanya, skilot dapat diartikan berselancar di atas lumpur. Mulanya kegiatan ini dilakukan oleh para nelayan yang tinggal di daerah pesisir untuk mencari ikan, kerang. Namun, rutinitas ini akhirnya menjadi olahraga, permainan tradisional dan tradisi di Pasuruan. Salah satunya di Kampung Blekok, Situbondo, Jawa Timur. |
