Description
English: A portion of "köfte" with six-and-a-half meatballs accompanied by French fries in an Ankara restaurant. In Turkey, the meatballs (köfte) have various sizes. The ones in this pic are more or less the common size. Generally a portion of this dish comes with 6 "köftes". This plate was served at a restaurant where you can order your meatballs by "weight" and I understand 250 grams correspond to "six-and-a-half meatballs". (This may look little meat, but do not forget that in most parts of Turkey the meat dishes always come with complimentary salads, some yogurt product like "cacık" or "haydari" and almost always an "ezme" plate, other than also free-of-charge bread varieties.)
