Description Sinus Iridum is an ancient crater that has been half-covered by lava flows from adjoining Mare Imbrium, leaving a vast semicircular bay. This visual shows the Los Angeles and San Diego metropolitan areas at the same scale. Prepared for NASA by Stephen Paul Meszaros.
