Description |
A man looks through a microscope for the South Australian Company of Simpson & Son. The date and location of this photo are unknown. However, Simpson & Son was a tinfoil manufactury, that was established in 1853 by Alfred Simpson. They produced agricultural equipment, safes and eventually munitions during World War One. In 1963 Simpson and Son merged with Pope Industries to form Simpson Pope Holdings. It is now owned by Electrolux and they continue to produce household goods and appliances.
