View up View looking south at the Silver Bridge crossing a green Colorado River with cliffs and a river trail . The Silver Bridge, is located a short distance downstream from the Black Bridge. The Silver Bridge was built in the late 1960s connecting the Bright Angel Trail from the South Rim to Phantom Ranch and the North Rim. Only hiker traffic may cross this suspension bridge. 1985. The Silver Bridge also provides a support structure for the transcanyon water pipeline. NPS Photo |
