Signing Ceremony of the Agreement between the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic and State Enterprise “National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “ENERGOATOM” of Ukraine concerning the provision of assistance to Ukraine “On 05 May 2023, the IAEA signed an agreement with the French Republic and the State Enterprise of Ukraine (Energoatom) to provide sorely needed support to the nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Through this agreement, Ukraine will receive the necessary spare parts for emergency diesel generators of the South Ukraine NPP contributing greatly to reducing the risk of a nuclear accident.” The signatories to the signing agreement are Ms. Lydie Evrard, IAEA Deputy Director General, Head of the Department of Nuclear Safety and Security, H. E. Delphine Hournau-Pouezat , Permanent Representative of the French Republic to the United Nations in Vienna, and Mr. Hartmut Jacob, Vice-President, State Enterprise “National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom”.
