Text Appearing Before Image:
employ of the PittsburgWater Works Company, doing engineering work, paid us a visit. Brothers Ruppert and Gooby have just returned from theirlong Eastern base-ball trip. Brother Gooby, West Virginias mostpopular base-ball player, is doing some fine twirling this year, andwe can say Tom has lost but three or four games in his whole base-ball career. In closing, let us say that we hope every chapter of the fra-ternity has prospered by fraternal relationship as has GammaBeta. We have at present seventeen active, loyal, and true-hearted members. We are beginning now to realize the worth ofour alumni, and we hope that each graduate will have the samesuccess. Hoping to be able to meet some of our brothers during vaca-tion, and with a hearty wish to all for a pleasant one, and thatevery one will have been sufficiently recreated by next fall thatwe can launch out on another years work as successfully as theclosing one has been, we remain, Fraternally,A. D. Bell, Gamma Beta. Chapter Historian.
Text Appearing After Image:
CHAPTER LETTERS. 153 Delta Beta. Jefferson Medical College. Philadelphia, Pa., May 3, 1907. Delta Beta wishes to extend hearty greetings to her sisterchapters. The Jlnale of another collegiate year is rapidly approaching—the saddest season of the year. We are confronted by those much-dreaded final examinations, and, still worse, the separation of onebrother from another. This spring Delta Beta loses eight of her most worthybrothers, whose memories will long be cherished. Yet, while wedeeply feel our loss, we can only hope that it will be their gain. In taking a retrospect of the past year, only a continuouschain of pleasant reminiscences confront us. We have had thegood fortune of receiving eight initiates, including one honoraryinto our bonds of fraternal fellowship, and pledged a promisingman for next year. We are especially delighted with the inteiest manifested byour alumni, both by their visits and assistance otherwise. The chapter has a most nattering prospect for another year
