Description
English: Shute & Merchant was a fish packing business located at the Head of the Harbor in Gloucester Massachusetts. The firm was founded in 1862 and merged with the Gorton-Pew Fisheries in 1907. -- The building at the end of this wharf eventually became the location of Siene Repair business operated but George Merchant, Jr., and later J. Arthur Woodbury.
