Shrine of the Three Holy kings

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Golden sarcophagus with the relics of three kings In 1164 Chancellor of the Emperor Frederick Barbarossa Rainald von Dassel (1159-1167), defeating Milan, brought from him the relics of the Three Kings (in the Orthodox theology – the Three wise men). This greatly elevated the city in the Christian world. As a result, the city did not accept Lutheranism and remained the stronghold of Catholicism in Northern Germany.
