Summary
[edit]| Description |
English: This shoemaker, Mr. Lallmon, continues the family tradition of repairing shoes in the town of Saint Pierre, Mauritius. His father and grandfather were both shoemakers. The shop belonged to his grandfather who passed this rare and precious skill to his son and grandson. At present, in the whole island, there are less than a dozen shoemakers left. Unfortunately Mr. Lallmon dedicated his life to shoe repairs, and now aged 54, he still has no wife or children to share his family tradition.
