Description
עברית: שמואל אוסוואלד רופאייזן ("האח דניאל", 29 בינואר 1922 - 30 ביולי 1998) היה יהודי ניצול שואה שהמיר דתו לנצרות והיה לנזיר. רופאייזן התפרסם לאחר שביקש לעלות לישראל כיהודי על-פי חוק השבות, אך בקשתו נדחתה על ידי רשויות המדינה בגלל התנצרותו, ואף ערעורו לבג"ץ על כך נדחה.
Français : Oswald Rufeisen (ou "Père Daniel", le 29 janvier 1922-30 juillet 1998) est un survivant de l'Holocauste qui s'est converti au christianisme et il est devenu moine carme. Rufeisen immigreren Israël en tant que Juif sous la loi du retour, mais a été refusé par les autorités en raison de sa conversion, et son appel à la Haute Cour qui a été rejetée.
