English: Shenley Cricket Ground Pavilion The ground is the home of the Shenley Cricket Centre http://www.shenleycricketcentre.co.uk/index.html and of Shenley Village Cricket Club http://shenleycc.hitscricket.com/default.aspx The ground is an occasional venue for high profile matches and during the 2008 season it will host the Women's One-Day International between England and India. The 19th century pavilion was built to the designs of W G Grace for the Porter family who owned substantial landholdings around Shenley at the time. |
