Summary
[edit]DescriptionSheffield, clock at Victoria Quays - geograph.org.uk - 1291868.jpg |
English: Sheffield: clock at Victoria Quays This clock is affixed to The Straddle, a warehouse which was built in the mid-1800s across the canal basin to solve the problem of lack of space, and hence its name. The Quays are now a pleasant little canalside walkway with small shops in the arches, a far cry from the bustling activity that would have been here in the later 19th century. |
