Sheep shearers at the Ohio State Fair

Description

Men participate in a sheep shearing competition inside the Brown Sheep Arena at the Ohio State Fair. The 1981 Fair included a "Sheep to Shawl" competition where teams had to shear a sheep and weave a fleece into a shawl in a little over three hours. They were judged on time, shawl content and design. The Washington Spinners and Weavers team won first place and $100. The Fair ran from August 14-30, 1981.
