Sheep, Clerkington

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Sheep, Clerkington. The road from Haddington to Pencaitland runs through an area of scattered houses, with the appearance of them all having had a small patch of land. The name smallholding crops up and that is probably what is happening here. There is not as much arable land as usual in East Lothian and here sheep graze on grassland previously cut for silage.
