Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Sgt. Davies' grave. Sgt.Arthur Davies was a redcoat billeted at Dubrach after Culloden. Two local men accused of his murder were acquitted after an unlikely defence involving Sgt. Davies' ghost speaking to them in Gaelic which Sgt. Davies could not speak! However the jury believed them and his body lies where it was found, marked by an uninscribed stone on the bleak hillside.
