English: “New Lounge for Tourists: Seyrisefain recently finished a new and perfect lounge in Tophane in order to provide every convenience for tourists who come to visit İstanbul, in the beautiful garden, surrounding the General Management Building. The oriental-style lounge, ornamented with lovely arabesques, comprises a 29 meters long and 20 meters wide large hall, surrounded by offices and counters of various agencies. The ceiling and dome above the hall are ornamented with charming orientalist paintings. Turkish artist Tahsin has re-painted several of his own paintings to display on the walls of the buildings, showing the significant locations of the city, such as the Bosphorus and the Prince’s Islands. The lightning throughout the entire building is certainly worth seeing, especially at night.”
