Description
English: While 800 members of the 5th Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment (5RAR), set about their daily camp routine below, sentries are posted on vantage points to ensure their security. Standing alert on the highest point in the camp and armed with an Owen machine carbine is 215683 Lance Corporal Alexander Douglas (Alex) Hamilton of Canley Vale, NSW, who is watching out for any possible Viet Cong infiltration from the top of his sand bagged weapon pit.
