Summary
[edit]DescriptionSeney National Wildlife Refuge (6471229621).jpg | What appear to be coyote tracks - they may look large but part of the track is left by the leg - the actual footprint is relatively small. Winter is an excellent time to learn animal tracks - the snow is the perfect medium! Where a little snow gets on top it does get harder to tell what the animal is, unless you are en expert (which I am not). However, the size could only be a couple of animals - coyote, bobcat, and possibly otter. However, when you look at the whole picture the - the way the tracks are spaced and the general shape of the track otter and bobcat drop out leaving coyote. Credit: Sara Hollerich, USFWS. |
